About Our Service
What is this website?
We are a lead generation and information collection service. We collect information from individuals who may have been affected by Robinhood's event contract trading platform and connect them with qualified attorneys who may be able to help. We are NOT a law firm and do not provide legal advice.
Are you a law firm?
No. We are a marketing and information collection service. We do not provide legal advice, represent clients, or practice law in any jurisdiction. Any legal representation you receive will be from independent attorneys we connect you with.
How does your service work?
After you submit your information through our website, we evaluate it and share it with qualified attorneys who specialize in consumer protection and securities matters. If an attorney is interested in your case, they will contact you directly. You are under no obligation to hire any attorney who contacts you.
Is there a cost to use your service?
There is no cost to you for submitting your information through our website. Attorneys pay us a fee for access to potential client information. Any fees for legal services would be between you and the attorney you choose to hire.
Eligibility & Qualification
Who is eligible to submit information?
Anyone who traded event contracts on Robinhood and resides in the United States may submit their information. We accept submissions from all 50 states and Washington D.C. There is no minimum loss requirement.
What are event contracts?
Event contracts are financial instruments that allowed users to bet on the outcomes of specific events, such as elections, sports outcomes, awards shows, and economic indicators. Robinhood offered these through their trading platform.
Do I need to have lost a specific amount of money?
No. We accept submissions regardless of the amount lost. Even smaller losses may be eligible for legal action, particularly in states with consumer protection laws that provide for attorney fee recovery.
Process & Timeline
How long does the process take?
The information collection and evaluation process typically takes 6-12 months. During this time, we actively share your information with qualified attorneys. There may be additional time required for attorneys to review cases and make decisions about representation.
Will I definitely hear from an attorney?
No. We cannot guarantee that any attorney will contact you or agree to represent you. Attorneys have sole discretion in deciding which cases to accept. We simply facilitate the connection between potential claimants and attorneys.
What happens after I submit my information?
After submission, your information enters our evaluation and marketing process. Qualified attorneys review submissions and may contact you if they believe they can help with your case. You will receive a confirmation with a submission ID for your records.
Data & Privacy
How is my information used?
Your information is used to evaluate your potential claim and is shared with qualified attorneys who may be able to represent you. This constitutes a "sale" of personal information under California law. We clearly disclose this in our Privacy Policy.
Can I opt out of having my information sold?
Yes. You can exercise your right to opt out by visiting our "Do Not Sell My Information" page. However, please note that opting out will prevent us from connecting you with attorneys, which is the primary purpose of our service.
Can I delete my information?
Yes. You can request deletion of your information by visiting our "Delete My Data" page or by emailing privacy@robinhoodclaims.com. We will process your request in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
Is my information secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard security measures including encryption (SSL/TLS), secure data storage, access controls, and employee training on data protection. Your information is only shared with qualified attorneys and necessary service providers.
Updating Information
Can I update my submission after submitting?
Yes. If you need to update your information, please contact us through our contact form or email support@robinhoodclaims.com with your submission ID and the updates you need to make.
I submitted but haven't heard anything. What should I do?
The evaluation process takes 6-12 months, so it's normal not to hear anything immediately. If you have concerns about your submission, you can contact us at support@robinhoodclaims.com with your submission ID.
Legal Questions
Does submitting create an attorney-client relationship?
No. Submitting information through our website does NOT create an attorney-client relationship with us or any attorney. An attorney-client relationship will only be formed if you enter into a separate agreement with an attorney who contacts you.
What documentation should I preserve?
You should preserve all records related to your Robinhood event contract trading, including: account statements, screenshots, trading confirmations, emails from Robinhood, and any other communications or documentation about your trading activity.
Is there a deadline to submit my information?
Legal claims are subject to statutes of limitations, which are strict time limits. While we cannot provide legal advice on specific deadlines, we encourage you to submit your information promptly and consult with an attorney about any time limits that may apply to your situation.
